Photogenic Pups

Any dog lover knows the value of a good dog portrait. I love taking photographs of animals I know and aim to capture the spirit and personality of my furry friends in the images. The three yellow labs featured in this post live at my parents' house and are truly members of the Winter family: Rosie, Annie and Trouper.

In the middle of December, my sister, Lizzy, and I traveled to Tucson to spend the weekend with my grandparents. I am SO glad we did!

You can take the grandparents out of Chicago, but you can't

Patti Hankin was kind enough to invite me to spend an hour at her family reunion last weekend.  It was overcast and chilly, but that didn't stop anyone from enjoying themselves - and didn't stop the dog from taking a dip in the pool!

I recently completed a job for my alma mater, taking photos and videos of the Speech and Theatre Department.  It was a fun time - calling former teachers by their first names, wearing a visitor pass and constantly being mistaken for being younger than I am - I graduated from NT 8 years ago!  But walking around those hallways, I will never feel anything but sweet sixteen!
